Implematix

Kept a Consulting Firm's Site Live — Then Rebuilt It as a Nonprofit.

Implematix is an implementation-science consulting practice that converted from an S-corp to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in January 2026. Gaviso has been their outsourced web team since 2021 — through leadership change, platform troubles, and now a full rebrand.

The Challenge

When Implematix came to us in March 2021, the brief was small: beef up the website, set up LinkedIn, and start ranking. Over five years the engagement grew into keeping a consulting-firm site alive through everything the platform threw at it — a GoDaddy suspension threat mistaken for malware in June 2023, a plugin conflict that took the site offline for the length of a support ticket in March 2024, and constant WordPress version-lag on GoDaddy Managed WP. The bigger challenge landed in late 2025. The practice was converting from an S-corp to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit effective January 1st. The founder was stepping back to teach at UCLA. A new Executive Director was stepping in. And the entire public identity needed re-casting on a nonprofit budget. Most agencies would have quoted a redesign. What was needed was closer to a lift — on the existing site, done quietly over months, while everything else about the organization was in motion.

The Approach

We've operated Implematix as a steady low-touch retainer since 2022 — WordPress updates, security scans, monthly health reports. Bigger work slots in when it's needed: an SEO audit and retainer in 2023 (paused when budget shifted), OneCard digital business cards for the team, About-page bio reorganization approved through Ziflow, a diversity-statement rollout. For the 2026 nonprofit rebrand we scoped in stages. The incoming Executive Director produced a side-by-side rewrite of every page; we reviewed the PDF, asked clarifying questions on layout, and agreed on Gaviso-sourced imagery so his time stayed on strategy instead of asset hunting. Content update quoted first, LinkedIn refresh to follow. The old brand stays live throughout. The new one goes live when it's ready, page by page, without a big-bang cutover.

The Outcome

Retention through a full organizational transformation — five-plus years continuous, kept through an S-corp → 501(c)(3) conversion, a CEO transition, and a nonprofit budget reset. The website has stayed live through a GoDaddy suspension threat (June 2023) and a plugin incident (March 2024), both resolved without visible downtime. Monthly maintenance has run unbroken since mid-2022. And the 2026 content refresh is landing without either party choosing to shop the rebuild. The incoming Executive Director wrote, mid-scope: "Kevin and I are excited to be working on this with you."
